School Counseling Information

At Santa Margarita we offer free counseling services (through Tri-Care insurance) for our students. We have two different programs: Palomar Counseling and Family Forces.  For more information and applicable forms, please visit or call our front office (760) 901-7900 to inquire.  

We also have two wonderful on-site school counselors; Mrs. Lisa Hildreth & Mrs. Guadalupe Frias.  

Palomar Counseling 

Individual or Group sessions

Short-term services (6-8 weeks long)

Reasons for counseling:

• Anger issues

• Anxious with school

• Attention issues or Hyperactivity (ADD or ADHD)

• Academic concerns related to motivation, organization or study skills

• Oppositional/Disruptive Behaviors

• Emotional or a Behavioral concern

• Peer issues or Family issues

• Emotional concerns (depressed, withdrawn, low self esteem)

Family Forces /MHS (Mental Health Systems)

Individual Sessions

Long Term (all school year)
