Welcome to Second Grade at Santa Margarita School with Ms. Lewis! I'm so excited to welcome your students into my classroom for the 2025-2026 school year - it's going to be a spectacular year. I have created this classroom website as a resource for you to reference throughout the school year. This website should help to answer future questions and will be periodically updated to include important class information, virtual learning websites/links, upcoming breaks/holidays, testing/academics, assemblies, field trips, etc.

Memorial Day: Just a reminder that there will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, 5/25/26, in observance of Memorial Day for all OUSD Schools.
*Email Communication: I generally send out weekly emails entitled, "2nd Grade Weekly News & Notes" to keep you in the loop with what is going on at school and in our classroom. I will plan to send those emails on Wednesdays, but I will let you know if that changes. Teachers are regularly receiving information from the district regarding procedures, policies, health updates, etc... so I want to be sure to keep you informed. Email is generally the most efficient form of communication that is used among the second grade teachers, therefore I would like to have the most current email addresses for all the parents who have students in my class this year.
