Writing

Since I was young I have always enjoyed hearing and sharing stories. Since joining The Charger staff I have shared that passion in my writing. Whether it is sharing a news story on something that happened or sharing an opinion piece on something that might be controversial, story telling is very important. It ultimately helps us to understand what is going on around us.

In this photo Howard Hyneman and I smile with the October 2024 issue of The Charger. Some examples of what was covered in this newspaper include OHS homecoming, a new pumpkin patch in Oxford, and the OHS swim team finishing third in the state. As a staff we do our best in cover as much as we can in the monthly newspaper while also taking into consideration the interest of our readers.

This photo was taken as soon we received the November/December 2025 newspaper came out. Seeing our hard work come to life is so exciting.
