Broadcast Journalism

While I spend much time writing and taking photos, I have also been involved with our monthly broadcast, The Charger Update. I have spent time in front and behind the camera anchoring as well as writing scripts.

During my time anchoring I have gotten to talk about many cool events and things going on but have also learned a lot. I have become much more comfortable talking in front of others and on screen.

Here I have attached one of my favorite episodes of The Charger Update. In this broadcast I got to interview the OHS pageant director, OHS pageant winner, and an OHS basketball player who has been invited to play in the Mississippi All Star basketball game.

Here I have attached part of The Charger Update script for the January 2025 episode. The part I have attached includes the headlines. We do our best to have a diverse group of headlines, not focusing on just one thing. With these we try to include as much information as we can with still keeping each headline short and to the point.
