Knowing how to reach a broad audience in work is a key part of telling a story. We spend time taking newspapers to many places to reach as much of the community as possible. As well as this deciding what content to post and where to post it on social media can reach a huge audience.
Each month when our newspaper is published we, as a staff, distribute the newspapers around Oxford. This is a great way to reach a broader audience and get more engagement. A few examples of where we take them include The Square, Ole Miss campus, and stores and restaurants on Jackson and University Avenue. Here I have attached a photo of Liza O'Reilly and I placing newspapers around town.
This TikTok was made to advertise the 2024 OHS prom theme. We posted this about a month prior to prom. Sometimes students are more inclined to checking social media to learn about a school event so we figured TikTok would be a great place to post.
This TikTok was from the Class of 2025's senior breakfast in August 2024. We had the best time asking seniors "are you smarter than a 5th grader" questions. This video reached an audience of students, teachers, family, and friends.
