Here at Oxford High School, we take pride in our sports teams, especially our football, baseball, and basketball teams. One of my many goals in writing for the newspaper is to make sure that all sports are equally represented, not just the "big" or "important" sports. Throughout my high school career, I have been apart of both the OHS golf team and the OHS cross country team. While these sports might seem less important than others, I know how it feels to be apart of a team that tends to be looked over. For that reason, I choose to cover each and every team and club at OHS to ensure that everyone gets their chance in the spotlight.
Another example of diversity that is seen through our staff is the fact that we all have different skill sets that benefit The Charger as a whole. Each of us are gifted with unique skills that we bring together each and every month to build the best possible paper that we are able to create. Without that sense of unique diversity, our staff wouldn't be anything compared to what it is today.
