Please have a box of independent work copied and ready for each class organized into folders. Provide enough work for 5 days. This is to be used in emergency situations. This box should be in a visible place and labeled for others to find.
When leaving sub plans for the day please include:
Your schedule
Roster of students for each class
Special needs or accommodations for students
Work for each class posted in google classroom, or paperwork organized into folders by class.
Please also include any buffer work for when students finish early, i.e. - vocabulary practice, educational websites, content book reading or magazines, library usage.
Email a copy of your subplan to your department chair and the front office.

OSSB:
Teachers shall maintain a Substitute Teacher Folder that is appropriately marked and ni a highly visible place. This place shall be reported to the Director of Teaching and Learning at the beginning of the year. This binder should include a copy of the current class roster, including names (for each period as it is appropriate), a copy of current daily schedule, safety evacuation information, and at least two day's worth of work for each class/student. Additionally, there
should be a backup plan in the event that a substitute is not available, and the class needs to be divided.
Teachers who have planned absences should plan to leave their regular lesson plans for a Substitute Teacher, these plans should be in line with your daily plans.
