This video by a Dutch cyclist showed what he thinks about our bike transportation infrasctrucure and how it differs from their systems and infrastrcucture. He did not seem to like our systems and thinks that they can be improved to accommodate bikes more and make cycling a better experience in cities around the US. He used a town very close to my home town as an example of a better cycling town which was Davis, California. Other than this town cycling is not very common to get around town, but for the hardcore cyclers they can ride long distances along freeways and streets with cars to commute between cities. My impression of his video is that the cyclists are not catered to and there is minimal infrastructure compared to the Netherlands for cycling. The biking infrastrucutre near my home town can be massively improved outside of the downtown area to make cycling more enjoyable and an effective form of transportation.
