Blind spot mirror on stop light
This photo shows a turn signal at a busy intersection in the City of Amsterdam. With cars were taking a right hand turn at the intersection across the cycle track it creates a dangerous conflict point with the right hand side blind spot of car. The mirror on the signal gives the driver an easy way to check their blind spot for bicycles before they take the right turn. This is a low cost way to increase bicycle safety by reducing driver error of failing to check their blind spot before taking a right turn.
Commuter taking foldable bike on the train
This photo was taken at the delft train station of a foldable bike being used by a commuter. While there are bikes at the train station available to rent for free, they are at times difficult to get if they are all rented out. Also for a daily commuter it can get cumbersome to rent a bike everyday so it makes more sense to bring a portable foldable bike on the train. The bike even had mini wheels on it to roll it around easily when it was folded up. More of these bikes in the United States would make commuting via public transporation easier because it would complete the first and last mile of trips.
