My initial impression of the city of Delft was that it is very clean and has many different forms of transportation that all work around each other. The Dutch parliament building and pond outside was one of my favorite things from the initial bike ride and exploring the town. The whole city seems to be planned very well and is very simple to navigate around.Â
The canals next to the cycle tracks were very interesting and all of the ways that they can be used from transporting materials to people using smaller boats to go through the city. This particular cycle track was a two way track that was much larger than a normal bike lane on the road. My initial impression is that bikes are a large part of society here and they are used daily by many people to commute around the city and get from point A to point B.
