Dr Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech effectively uses both emotion and logic to inspire acting against segregation and racism. He connects with his audience by expressing his dream for his children to grow up in a just society, appealing to the shared desires of many families. At the same time, he highlights the failure of the US to uphold its promises of equality using historical documents the Constitution to strengthen his argument. By combining these appeals, King motivates people to fight for change through non violent protest.

Creating my literacy map made me realize how much pressure I've always put on myself in school and how deeply I've tried my self worth to performance. It also showed me how much I've grown in resilience. Writing this narrative helped me process my experiences in a way I hadn't before, and even though I chose not to share it aloud, hearing my classmates stories made me feel less alone in my struggles. This assignment was valuable because it encouraged deep self reflection, and helped me understand my growth and relationship with learning.
