This assignment is an example of an Authentic Assessment, This assignment was completed as a part of our unit unit to learn rules of Sequence of Transformation. The objective of this assignment was to create our own 4-sided shape pre-image and image to provide a description of the sequences of transformation. After we do that we have to figure out the coordinates for my shapes, then create a description that will match rules that was given to us which is why I got an 100% on it.
This assignment is an example of an Extended Constructed Response, This assignment was completed as a part of our unit unit to help us understand how to write claims and to answer questions timely. The objective of this assignment was to rightly get 3 points on why Justine's claim is incorrect. I could do better by using mathematical vocabulary in explaining the lines of symmetry from the midpoints given to me. I also got the second claim wrong because I had put it correctly instead of incorrect due to the fact I was rushing and wanted to get it over with.
This assignment is an example of an Authentic Assessment. This assessment was completed as a part of our unit to learn how to use the Distance Formula to figure out the measurement of how far coordinates are. The objective of this assignment was to find point C using the perimeter of 50. Then use other coordinates to find the new perimeter of triangle ABC. I got a 100 because I asked for help to understand the question and used other formulas to help figure out the answer.
This assignment is an example of an Extended Constructed Response. This assessments was a part of our uit to help us understand how to use the Triangle similarity criteria. This is where I had a problem with not understanding how to write a constructed response why Triangle ABC and XYZ are congruent with the same angles and measurements.
This assignment is an example of an authentic assessment. This assessment is based on trigonometry, we need to find the lengths of the longer sides and short sides with the degrees. To complete this assignment we firstly needed to break up the triangle into two. Secondly, to figure out what trigonometry we use for example Sine(Sin),Tangent(Tan) or Cosine(Cos). For this specific assignment we needed to use Sign and tan to firstly find the degrees for the broken up triangle. Thirdly, after finding the degree use the pythagorean Theorem to find the length. Finally we multiplied the two answers base times height to find the area to find the final answer. With understanding all these steps I got a good grade so I would not want to change my ways.
This assignment was a test, the assignment was made by the district. The objective to test is to figure out if we really understand the unit we learned. As I was taking the test, I was confused about the word problems part because, during our unit we learned the assignment without word problem, so I was confused. While I was taking the test the problems with no words were easy to me. I also had problems finding out if I use Trigonometry or to use Pythagorean Theorem that is why I believe I got the score of 72%. To get a better grade last next time I would ask questions before mainly about the word problems and figuring out the techniques needed for the problem
This assignment is an example of a test. Through completing this assignment, I learned how to find the area and perimeter of a shape. This assignment taught me how perimeter is the distance around the outside shape, area is the total shape of the inside shape, and also how this can help us measure the size of a two-dimensional shape. I enjoyed this assignment because I was able to find the area and perimeter not only with their formula but others for example trigonometry and Pythagorean. This assignment challenged me to find the perimeter of only the outside shapes. This assignment represents Area & Perimeter which is an important theme in this course. If I had to complete this assignment again, I would improve it by not just guessing and quitting but instead just working it out.
This assignment was an example of a test. This assignment was completed as a part of our unit about circles. The objective of this assignment was to use formulas to figure out the distance between the parts of circles. The components of this assignment were firstly knowing parts of circles like sectors, tangent, central points, diameter, and circumference. To complete this assignment, first I had to completely understand the formulas given to us like C = πd = 2 π r, then I used the equations to put them into the word problems to get my answer, and finally, I double-checked my work to get me a good grade.
