Child Labor Debate
In conclusion, By considering your statements and regards for the use of child labor, we also have to address the immediate need for income and Child development in many of these areas. With the use of child labor we create opportunities for education and skill development that help empower these children to further their future. According to Bourdillion (2017) “In many parts of the world and in many cultures, children grow up by imitating, and gradually contributing to, the activities taking place around them, including work. Work is a normal part of life and children increasingly participate as they grow up to be responsible social people (Bourdillon, 2017).” This reflects on how child labor is an essential necessity for child development and how it leads to a more proactive perspective that mold children into someone that will contribute to society. Jane Addam addresses that “Most child workers were from poor families, and many were immigrants. Some families even argued that child labor was ‘good’ for their kids, as it would teach them responsibility (Child Labor · National History Day: Triumph and Tragedy · Jane Addams Digital Edition, n.d.).” This elaborates on how child labor is a critical aspect of society that helps mold these children into something more beneficial for society and demonstrates how we use child labor to create an opportunity for these underprivileged children to succeed.

Gandhi Web-quest
During his time there, he faced racial discrimination and injustice, which led him to develop his principles of Satyagraha and Ahimsa as a means of fighting against oppression. Gandhi used various teaching methods to spread his message of nonviolent resistance and civil disobedience. During the Industrial Revolution, working conditions were often harsh and dangerous. Workers faced long hours, low wages, poor ventilation, crowded and unsanitary workplaces, and little to no job security. Child labor was also common during this time. Today, working conditions have significantly improved due to labor laws, regulations, and advancements in technology. Workers now enjoy better safety standards, shorter work hours, higher wages, improved benefits, and more rights and protections in the workplace. Child labor is largely prohibited in most countries, and there is a greater emphasis on worker well-being and work-life balance.
