ENGLISH II

The task of this assignment was to look for a person, artist, influencer, and ext and create a mini biography, leading to way that person would be a better candidate for the 2022 person of the year award, and present it afterwords.

The objective of the assignment was to develop our power to use certain skills to be able to research relevant information and use that information to create a mini biography and develop the theme throughout the writing. 

The assignment fit in with the overall unit because at the moment we were learning the process of writing a  good body paragraph and into, by introducing a criteria, that introduces a new system to write a paragraph. 

I learned how to write and develop my writing  throughout the mini biography and how to introduce something new in the biography and still be able to make it transition smoothly.

Reflection

The assignment showcases my strengths by showing my skill to develop the biography and transition the biography in a consistent way. The assignment also shows how I'm able to do research and able to present my work. 

The assignment represents important themes in the course because it shows my skills in writing and demonstrates how my skills are still developing and how I incorporate the new skills I've learned through my writing. 

I enjoyed the assignment because I was able to write about a soccer player and learn new things about Him, to incorporate in my writing. 

The assignment connects to a larger community because it describes the life of a great soccer player that has accomplished so much through his career, and connects to the people interested in him as well.

The task of this assignment was to  create a horror story based on the existence of technology and how too much technology could lead to something more dangerous.  

The objective was to develop the theme of a robot uprising and how to use dialogue to develop the theme and tone of the writing.

The assignment fits in with the overall unit  because at the time we were reading about Frankenstein, which was about someone who was fascinated with life and how he could in a way manipulate that to create a live person, which ended wrong for both the monster and the creator. 

Reflection

The challenging part of this assignment was incorporating relevant information to develop my writing and the overall fact was that the assignment wasn't really my liking because of the way it was introduced in a way. 

I could improve this assignment by reading the book a little more and try to inappropriate the skills and format the author of the book actually did by paying more attention to how the book was written and how it could just people into reading it more. 

I haven't revised my work but if i was to i would meet with the teacher and have her explain to me a little more were i went wrong and how i could fix it and also explain how i could develop my writing skills further, in future assignments.

The task of the assignment was to pick an article that was in a way based on our social issue and create a black out poem, which means cutting out pieces of an article and creating a nice poem based on my social issue with the words left.

The objective was to use my social issue, which was abortion rights, and develop the poem to create a understanding throughout the poem as well.

The assignment fit in with the overall unit because we had just finished our presentation on our social issues and this just built on that and was just incorporated within the lesson about blackout poems. 

I learned a clear understanding of how to create a blackout poem and how to incorporate certain themes throughout the poem.

Reflection

The assignment showcases my strengths by helping me develop my understanding on what blackout poems are and how to develop them with my social issue .

The assignment represents important themes in the course because we were creating presentations based on social issues in our society, and were then getting introduced to blackout poems, and used our social issues to create one. 

I enjoyed the assignment because it was pretty fun to create a poem out of a article, by just blacking out words and using other words in the article to develop the theme.

The task of this assignment was to answer a prompt based on the novel we were reading which was "Long Way Down" and use evidence from the novel to develop an understanding from what was happening in the book.  

The objective of this assignment was to be able to connect the prompt to the thesis statement, with relevant evidence that would back up the thesis and analysis of the situation. 

The assignment fit in with the overall unit because it was based on the novel we were reading, and how we were able to use the evidence in the book to connect back to the prompt. 

I learned how to connect the evidence to the thesis smoothly and how to develop the theme and tone of the prompt. 

Reflection

The challenging part of this assignment was how to incorporate the skill we learned the previous  marking period about the parts of a good introduction. 

I could improve the assignment by incorporating that new system in my writing more than usual to get a further understanding and be able to use it in my writing with no problem.

The task of this assignment was to create a short narrative that would connect to the ending of reading number 2 and describes what will happen next when the main character Montag flies from the danger he caused.

The objective of the assignment was to connect my tiny narrative based on my prediction of what would happen next, and connect it to the end to finish the story in a way or lead into the 3 reading. 

The assignment fits in with the overall unit because it's connected to the novel we are currently reading and also helps develop of what is happening in the book. 

I learned that I could learn more of the book and try to use my skills to develop a further understanding of the theme. 

Reflection

The assignment showcases my strengths by helping me develop my understanding and help improve my skills in writing and identifying the theme of the novel. 

The assignment represents important themes in the course because we are able to improve our skills and reading skills by looking at the format and skills used to develop the theme of the novel. 

I enjoyed the assignment because it was pretty fun to create a short narrative based on my predictions and develop the story more and make it more interesting in a way.
