MARKING PERIOD 1

Annotated Bibliography

I would consider this assignment named the annotated bibliography to be a glow of mine because of the hard work and grade that I received for it. First we have to identify our group members to which I chose Dekiya and Brayan and then we have to choose a subject. Being that we are biomed we found it best to choose obesity as a problem to write about and essentially come up with a small solution to it. it was between obesity and Adolescence and dementia and its treatment in the elderly. This assignment helped us get an understanding of our sources that we were going to be using for a paper which allowed for us to make connections, find info faster and essentially become more confident in our research for our research paper. In the example we had to find a source and then write a paragraph on why we quoted that source and why it was important. This was a very helpful assignment for our paper because it allowed us to learn in simple terms how to write a bibliography. To keep achieving grades like this I need to pay attention and wake up early enough so that I don't feel drained in the mornings.

Research Journal Assignment

I would definitely have to identify this assignment as a glow because I had more potential than this and needed to manage my time better. At this time we were trying to write a research paper or at least start one up and to understand the parts of a research paper we made journal entries which included the article name, strategy used, something that I learned from the article and it had to be a minimum of 200 words. The overall goal of this assignment was to create a journal to record my progress of research for my final paper which would be due later in the year. It was supposed to help me see which strategies work for me as far as skimming and understanding the thesis. When writing this I was able to reemphasize the notes that I had taken earlier but I had only done half of the assignment. The assignment required that I do two journal entries and I only did one. This journal entry assignment was more about my thoughts and what I thought about the author. To achieve a better grade I will have to read instructions thoroughly and allot myself time to do what is needed.

MARKING PERIOD 2

Section 4 Lit Review

I would definitely consider this assignment to be a glow for a plethora of reasons. After working studiously to do sections 1 through 3, I found it very easy to write section 4 because it focused on our product/solution. The product me and my group came up with was a new food plate to decrease obesity and adolescents. We wrote a total of two paragraphs but it was constructed by all of us. We were assigned to each right a paragraph on the product and we then meshed it together. We were able to bring the product back to the thesis and state how this will cause a decrease in obesity if it was actually taken into action. I found the summit very easy which I think is the reason that I got a good grade. all I had to do was talk about something that I had already had prior knowledge and research on.

Capstone Mid-Year Presentation

For this assignment I definitely could have did better. It was uncompleted and me and my group did not work on it which resulted in the grade that we received. In the first couple of slides we were supposed to give a self-portrait and an explanation for where we wanted to go to college. In the next couple slides we were supposed to bring in information from our literature review with two pieces of evidence and an explanation. my group and I had an adequate amount of time but we didn't manage our time well enough to complete the assignment on time and to Its best ability.We're also supposed to talk about our product and how it will change obesity in teens/adolescents.I believe that we still have time to complete this assignment because the presentation is in March but that doesn't mean that I shouldn't have done it when it was due. to get a better grade and a better understanding next time I will plan things out in advance so I can't say that I didn't have enough time .
