The reason why I passed my math test where I had to graph parabolas and find zeros is that I dedicated ample time to practice and understanding the concepts. At first, I found the task scary, but I consulted with my teacher and classmates beforehand. I also used online resources such ads khan academy to help me understand my learning. I asked questions whenever I was unsure and sought clarification where necessary. I did not shy away from mistakes but used them as an opportunity to learn and improve. By the time the test came, I was confident in my abilities and was able to apply my knowledge effectively. I am proud of my achievement and will continue to work hard in my math class.
One possible reason I might not have passed my math test is that I was not able to properly identify and find the zeros of the given functions. To improve in this area, I may want to revisit the different methods used to find zeros such as factoring, using the quadratic formula, or graphing the function. Additionally, practicing with different types of functions and mastering the basic algebraic concepts will also help me improve my ability to find zeros. With enough practice and determination, you can definitely improve and achieve success in math.
I feel as though this is a good representation of my math skills because of the grade I got on it. My use of arrows and stars I am able to show my thought process on this assignment. I received a 100 on this assignment due to my extensive explanations. The goal was to write an equation that would show the price of season tickets with an initial amount of 1,500 and an extra 20% off each year. I was able to succeed at this assignment because of my knowledge of exponents. Buy paying attention in class ad staying focused I believe I will be able to continue to get 100's on assignments like these.
As seen I did not get all the credit for all of this perfermance task. Along with the back of the task being wrong, the front had some of the problems wrong. I recieved a 79 on this assignment. I believe it was due to my lack of studying and my lack of knowledge on certain parts such as how to mark the end behavior. The goal was to find a rule for a function that would represent how to find the volume of the box with certain dimentions given. I could have grown on this assignment by paying attention to the functions and how I was supposed to use them. In the future I will go to Mr.M's office hours to better prepare myself for an upcoming test.
This was one of my grows for the third marking period because I understood the material and was able to use my thinking skills to comprehend the math. Because of my grade, I believe this to be a fair depiction of my ability to perform well. Through the use of arrows and stars, I am able to demonstrate how I approached this problem that I was given. I gave this test a lot of thought, and as a result, I got a 80. The objective was to copy down the questions and to answer them to my best ability based on my knowledge of exponents that we went over in the prior weeks leading up to the test. I was able to complete this test successfully since I was familiar with exponents. I think I can continue to receive 80s on tasks like this if I pay attention in class and maintain my focus.
By the grade of a 60 I did not receive full credit for this performance challenge. Some of the issues that resulted in this grade was my lack of completion of the last problem that I did and the incorrect breakdown of the last answer I gave. I scored a 60 on this particular task. I think it was because I didn't study enough and didn't even bother to write down the other problem due to lack of motivation by me simply not understanding the problem and being discouraged.By paying attention to the functions and how I was expected to use them, I could have improved on this assignment. I'll visit Mr. M's office hours in the future so I can better prepare. I will alos work on trying to persevere even in hard times when I feel like I cant do it.

This authentic assessment was a result of not knowing all of the material which is my fault. This material was taught in class but I didn't pay attention which resulted in the grade that I got. is to identify all potential rational zeros of a polynomial function. This test is based on the Rational Root Theorem, which states that any rational solution, or root, of the polynomial equation is a fraction p/q, where p is a factor of the constant term and q is a factor of the leading coefficient.I failed to use the quadratic function correctly which resulted in me getting a wrong answer. I also didn't elaborate on my answer and only gave asymptotes that didn't make sense. I gave four and three as the answers; they should have been separate not together. A way for me to get a better grade would have been to study the material more to identify what my answer was and to elaborate on how I got there.
In this assessment we were learning about pre-calculus and we had just entered this unit. we were given the function and we were to put in the numbers that were given to us to try to solve for a number of sales. There were two parts to this assessment and in the first part I achieved a 1.5 out of two which is good. The first part had a total of two parts each with more than two sub parts to them. The test was difficult at first sight but after reading the test and understanding what it was asking, which was the average rate of change, I understood the material and was able to get the right answers. With some more explanation I would have been able to fully achieve a full two points. To ensure that I get a grade like this again I will be sure to read through all of the material before I deem it too hard to even try.
