Schedule Change Requests

- Students will follow their schedule as assigned the first week of school. To request a schedule change, a schedule change request form will be available through the student's grade-level Google Classroom starting Monday, August 10, 2026. Follow the instructions provided in the Google Classroom. The last day to request a schedule change is Wednesday, August 19th. Counselors will reach out to a student if /when a change can be made. Schedule changes requests are not accepted by email.

Outside non-opusd Coursework and Sending Transcripts:

If you took an outside class for OPHS credit, please have an official transcript sent from the outside program directly to our Registrar, Ms. Alba (kalba@opusd.org).

OPHS Counseling Goal and Vision

The goal of the school counseling program at Oak Park High School is to enhance the learning process for all students through academic, career, and social/emotional support.

The school counseling program is a collaborative effort between the school counselor, student, parents, and other educators to create an environment that promotes student achievement.

What does a school counselor do?

A school counselor facilitates communication and establishes linkages for the benefit of students, with faculty, administration, families, and other valuable resources of the community.

A school counselor promotes more effective and efficient student learning.

A school counselor advocates for the well-being and support of students.

A school counselor collaborates on developing and implementing positive, effective programming to support the entire educational community.

A school counselor provides short-term mental health support and resources for community support.
