Step 2: Think: Dr. Seuss’s books often taught a lesson. In The Lorax, Dr. Seuss wrote about the effects of deforestation and pollution in a town called Thneedville. Why do you think Dr. Seuss wrote about this in a children’s book?

Step 3: Artists create artwork for many different reasons. Sometimes artists create artwork that addresses an issue.

To celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd, create a poster that sends a message on how we can keep our planet healthy.

Successful posters are eye catching with large colorful images and few words.
