1. Get permission to use a camera for this activity. You can use a cell phone, iPad or digital camera.
2. Look closely at objects around your house, yard, and neighborhood (with parents) for hidden letters of the alphabet. This is great activity for the whole family to get out and stretch your legs and brains!
3. Once you find a letter decide how you should create the composition within your photo. Do you need to crop the photograph to allow the viewer to understand what letter you are communicating? Think back to how Miss Ebling cropped the letter "O" and turned it into a letter "C". Should you rotate the camera or photo like Miss Ebling did to create the letter "U" or letter "M"?
4. See how many letters of the alphabet you can make. You can even try to spell out a word or your name. Once you've found the hidden letters send your photographs to Miss Ebling by email kebling@opschools.org. Make sure to include your name and what letters your have found.
Let's see if we can work together, even though we're apart to create the entire alphabet as a school!
