How to Use Polls

You will need to create the poll before the meeting starts.

Go to the "Meetings" tab in your Zoom account and select your scheduled meeting.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This feature is only available for licensed users (pro account users).

Scroll to the bottom of the screen.

Here you will find a section dedicated to polling. Click on "Add."

Select single option if you only want participants to be able to select one answer choice.

When you scroll to the bottom of the page, you can choose to add another question or save the poll.

In this case we selected multiple choice.

This allows users to select more than one answer choice.

Keep polls anonymous.

The poll also allows you to make the choice if you would like user information to be kept anonymous during the poll. Once you are done, scroll to the bottom and select "save."

Join the Zoom meeting.

The day of your meeting, go back to the meeting tab, select the meeting and click "join now" to join the call.

When you are ready to share your poll, click on the "Polling" option.

Select the poll and launch it.

Give the participants time to take the poll.

Tip: Become comfortable with silence in moments like this. It is really easy to cut people short because of the silence. People are reading and thinking about their responses.

If you would like to share the poll results, share them with the participants.

When you are done, don't forget to click "Stop Sharing."
