Your Google password will always be in sync with AD, if you are in your network you can change your password by changing your desktop/laptop password. If you are outside, you can get in touch with IT to change your password.
On your computer, make sure you've downloaded Chrome. You can only use Gmail offline in a Chrome browser window, not using Incognito mode.
Go to Gmail offline settings.
Check "Enable offline mail."
Choose your settings, such as how many days of messages you want to sync.
Click Save changes.
Enable Gmail offline on each device for which you want offline access.
Email as an attachment is not supported, but you can leverage Print and save as pdf option of chrome to attach the emails in pdf formats in another email.
We strongly recommend to not turn off conversation view as it’s well aligned with human conversations. If you still want to disable you can disable it from email settings.
Add and remove recipients: Click the recipients field when you’re replying. Add recipients by typing more email addresses, and remove recipients by clicking Remove X next to an email address.
Edit the email subject: Click Type of response arrow_drop_down next to the recipient’s name and select Edit subject.
When you’re done composing your reply, click Send.
For best user experience we strongly recommend to use Google chrome, as it gives you an integrated experience of full Gsuite features of video, chat, mail, calendar together. It also support offline access email, docs and calendar.
We recommend you to make chrome the default browser for your device.
With Gmail, your email is stored safely in the cloud. You can get to messages from any computer or device with a web browser. If your administrator allows, you can join or start a video meeting in Google Meet right from Gmail. Add Google Chat to your Gmail inbox and get all the features of Chat directly in Gmail.
Labels are used to categorize messages and threads within the user's mailbox. The maximum number of labels supported for a user's mailbox is 10,000. The immutable ID of the label. The display name of the label.
To create folders in Gmail, go to the Labels section in Settings. Click on Settings > Labels > Create New Label > Save. Gmail uses labels instead of folders to organize emails, but labels function similarly to folders.
If you archive an email, it will be removed from your inbox, but you will always have it under All Mail. Archiving is a useful feature that allows you to unclutter your inbox but keep emails for future access. The archived email can be located under All Mail and any labels assigned to the email.
Manage multiple signatures:
Open Gmail.
At the top right, click Settings. See all settings.
Under "General," scroll to "Signature" and click the signature you want to edit.
Use the text box to make your changes. To change the signature name, click Edit .
At the bottom, click Save Changes.
Keep one email thread for only one topic or project.
Only discuss topics that require insights from more than one person.
Don't turn the email thread into a chat.
Add only the contacts who have to see your replies.
Avoid stretching the thread too long.
Be professional when writing the content of your emails.
When you snooze an email, the email is removed from your inbox temporarily in Gmail. Your email comes back to the top of your inbox when you want it to, whether that's tomorrow, next week, or in the evening.
If you decide you don't want to send an email, you have a short time after to cancel it. Right after you send a message, you can retract it: In the bottom left, you'll see "Message sent" and the option to "Undo" select a Send cancellation period of 5, 10, 20, or 30 seconds. Click Undo.
Unfortunately, you cannot unsend a message in Gmail after one hour. You can only recall it within 30 seconds of sending it.
Enable IMAP on for your Gmail account (if your organisation permits):
Sign in to your Gmail account by using a browser that is supported (Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari).
Choose or click the gear icon ( ) on the top right.
Choose Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
Select Enable IMAP, and then choose Save Changes.
Important: Search won't work in offline mode.
On your computer, go to Gmail
In the Search Box at the top, enter what you'd like to find.
Press Enter. A list of emails will show.
Schedule emails to send:
On your computer, go to Gmail ,At the top left > click Compose.
Create your email.
At the bottom left next to "Send," > click the Down arrow > Click Schedule send.
Yes, A user can have multiple email addresses by creating email aliases such as support@yourcompany. You can add up to 30 email aliases for each user.
On your computer, go to Gmail.
Click Compose.
In the bottom right of the window, click Turn on confidential mode .
Tip: If you've already turned on confidential mode for an email, go to the bottom of the email, then click Edit.
Set an expiration date and passcode. These settings impact both the message text and any attachments.
If you choose "No SMS passcode," recipients using the Gmail app will be able to open it directly. Recipients who don't use Gmail will get emailed a passcode.
If you choose "SMS passcode," recipients will get a passcode by text message. Make sure you enter the recipient's phone number, not your own.
Click Save.
