School Reopening Health & Safety Measures

MAC - OGC Reopening Plan 2020-2021 (Working Draft)

Olive Grove School will be resuming remote learning after Spring Break starting April 19, 2021, until further notice, to allow our students to continue their learning in a safe manner, keeping all the health and safety guidelines in place.

We are closely following the Ministry regarding the health and safety regulations and will be updating our plan accordingly.

Our plan is primarily based on MAC's internal guidelines for reopening schools - August 2020 document which states: "MAC schools will reopen with conventional in-person delivery of teaching and instruction, with enhanced health and safety."

We have been continually surveying our parents and staff and have kept their feedback in mind.

We will continuously be monitoring the implementation of our model of learning and health of our students and staff which may result in changes as per MAC's and Public Health or Ministry of Education's directive.

We will continue to improve upon our plan as need be with the help of our staff as well as the parent community to be our partners in this journey to ensure our students get the best possible learning experience, which has always been the driving force for us.

We remind ourselves that in these hard times we need to increase our reliance on our Lord and His protection and exercise compassion and care with one another. We commit our best to provide safe and reliable service and stay focused to ensure we deliver on the mandate of MAC-OGS.

• All regular in-class and out of class practices such as arrival, recess, salah and dismissal will be altered for the safety of students and staff

• Students will be moving in cohorts

• Please help us strictly implement the health and safety measures put in place to ensure the safety of our students and staff

• Please be assured that we are trying to accommodate the needs of our students and staff as best as possible and understand that we may not be able to satisfy everyone

• Parent feedback and engagement is essential for the success of our plans

• Continue to pray for the health and safety of our Global Community
