The College and Career Center provides information and resources to help students research colleges, universities, community colleges, trade and technical schools. The CCC provides information about college entrance requirements, admissions testing, financial aid, scholarships and career planning. The CCC resources can guide you through everything from testing to college visits, applying online, how to make the right choice for college and more. Browse an extensive college and university library which includes college brochures, résumé information, summer opportunities, SAT and ACT testing registration info, upcoming deadlines, and more.
The CCC hosts representatives from colleges, universities, trade schools, and the military throughout the school year. All grade levels are encouraged to sign up for these presentations which are published in the Daily Bulletin and posted in the NHS College & Career Center ParentSquare group. Students must sign up, and have permission from their teacher (if during class time). At the presentation you will be able to hear interesting information about academic programs, student life, internships, and research opportunities. Speakers also cover the application process and are open to any questions that you may have about the institution that they represent. You will also want to check out the Bulletin to learn about off-campus speakers and college fairs.
College application and scholarship workshops are held throughout the year. Check the bulletin for dates and times, and sign-up to attend.
Students can also reach out to NHS Alumni and staff who are attending or have attended a school of interest. Check out the Alumni Contact List to see what schools are on the list.
