Please see Mrs. Gorrell to pick up an application for a work permit. Once the application is processed the work permit can be picked up. The permit must be signed and given to your employer.

Student Employment

The Ojai Valley Youth Foundation is a great place to learn about job openings. Potential employers often contact the school with information about jobs as they become available and we forward all this information to the OVYF. Keep an eye out for bulletin announcements and postings of one-time or ongoing positions in the community that are designed for high school students.

Résumés and Interview Skills

The College and Career Center helps students create résumés and prepare for job interviews. A student résumé template is available below. Students can make an appointment with Ms. Beebe in the CCC for additional information on how to build a résumé or to develop interview skills.

Military

The military also comes to the College and Career Center with presentations about various opportunities. Drop by and talk to servicemen and women or pick up information in the CCC if you think that the Armed Services may be for you. Visit www.todaysmilitary.com/ for more information.

Job Growth Sectors

The US Bureau of Labor and Statistics publishes the Occupational Outlook Handbook which tracks the fastest growing job sectors, those with the most new jobs, and the highest paying jobs.
