Our premier concert band is open to dedicated student musicians in grades 10 through 12. Admission is based on an audition process that evaluates tone, technique, musicality, and sight-reading skills. By joining Wind Ensemble, you’ll tackle challenging repertoire, refine your ensemble playing, and represent our program at the highest level. Incoming freshmen are not prohibited from auditioning.

Priority Auditions are held in January. Auditions after that will only be considered if there is a vacancy in the section they are auditioning for.

Jazz 1 is our top-tier jazz ensemble, and auditions take place each fall. Students will be assessed on their improvisation skills, style, and overall musicianship. Members of Jazz 1 perform a variety of jazz styles—ranging from classic swing to contemporary pieces—and have the opportunity to showcase their talents at performances throughout the year.
