Concert Band (1st & 2nd Trimester)
Designed exclusively for freshmen, Concert Band provides the foundation for a student’s high school band journey. This ensemble focuses on core skills such as tone production, ensemble playing, music reading, and overall musicianship. Meeting during the first two trimesters, Concert Band introduces a wide range of repertoire and ensures a smooth transition into the high school band program.

Symphonic Band (2nd & 3rd Trimester)
Symphonic Band is a non-auditioned ensemble open to all students who wish to continue playing without auditioning into Wind Ensemble. Meeting in the second and third trimesters, this group offers a supportive space to strengthen ensemble skills, refine technique, and build confidence. Students perform a variety of intermediate-level concert band literature that challenges and inspires growth.

Wind Ensemble
As the premier auditioned concert band at OHHS, Wind Ensemble is designed for advanced musicians who are ready for a high-level musical experience. This ensemble performs demanding repertoire, develops sophisticated ensemble techniques, and represents the school at concerts, festivals, and special events throughout the year. Wind Ensemble provides dedicated students the opportunity to perform at the highest level of the program.
