Yes! Attempting individual IB Courses is a great way for students to push themselves academically. Because students are assessed after two years of learning (instead of one) and through multiple assessments (in class and external examinations), IB Courses provide additional support to students looking for opportunities to take a few rigorous courses and potentially earn college credit. You will need to meet with Mr. Dunn (IB Coordinator - dunnt@ogdensd.org) and your counselor to discuss which course(s) make the most sense for you.
If you only want to take a few stand-alone IB courses, there is no application process. However, you will need to meet with Mr. Dunn and your counselor to discuss which course(s) would be the best fit for you and your academic goals.
There is an application to participate in the full Diploma Programme.
