These resources will help you learn about key social-emotional competencies important for children and adults alike. EdSERT will provide you with strategies for enhancing your use of social-emotional practices in your classroom or organization - benefitting your students and your own well-being. By exploring and practicing these various skills you can work to build your own emotional intelligence and build resiliency.

Self-Care is what people do for themselves to establish and maintain health, and to prevent and deal with illness. It is a broad concept encompassing hygiene (general and personal), nutrition (type and quality of food eaten), lifestyle (sporting activities, leisure etc), environmental factors (living conditions, social habits, etc.) and socio-economic factors (income level, cultural beliefs, etc.). Assess your current self-care needs and develop a plan, including setting realistic boundaries around work.
