Website Portfolio of your Work

This summative assignment will require to make a online website portfolio highlighting the work you have completed throughout the semester as well as demonstrate your proficiency and ability in learning and using new softwares that you may not have been exposed to yet.

The summative starts on May 28th and is Due at the end of the class June 8 2018

Before starting the online portion:

• Review how to create a google site
• Explore existing google sites to find well designed website that is easy to navigate
• Use the supplied website planing sheet you will plan out how you will lay out your website; including pages, links, images, page headers and text that will appear on the site
• Use the supplied storyboard to plan out your video

Your website at a minimum must include

A Home Page

• Title
• Your Name
• A 15-30 second video you create introducing yourself and talking about your favourite unit of the course (see below for more info)

A Page on Safe and Responsible use of the Internet and communication technology

• Rules for safe and responsible use of the Internet and communication technology
• An embedded video that represents the values of safe and responsible use of the Internet and communication technology
• An Image that represents safe responsible use of the Internet and communication technology

A Page on the Environmental effects of communication technology and the environment

• You decide on how this will be represented

A page showcasing Adobe Illustrator

• A description of what Adobe Illustrator is, its uses, and your experience with it
• Minimum 2 images you created in this software with a description of each

A page showcasing Photography

• A description of what photography, its uses, and your experience with it
• Minimum 2 images you took with a description of each

A page Showcasing Photoshop

• A description of what Photoshop is, its uses, and your experience with it
• Minimum 2 images you edited with before and after with this software with a description of how you achieved this

A page Showcasing Podcasting

• A description of what podcasting is, its uses, and your experience with it
• Your Podcast

Creating a video clip for the Summative

This portion of the project will test your ability to quickly learn and use a new software.

Using a point and shoot camera you will shoot a video that introduces yourself, the course and talks about your favourite unit from the course.

Once the video is recorded you will upload it to imovie and use imovie to edit it and add effects and words to the video.

Once completed you will save (export) the file as an .mp4
