Closing a SHSM

If you are considering leaving, moving, closing or retiring from your SHSM next year? 

Please let me know so I can assist in helping any needed transitions. 

When the school decides to close a SHSM they have three options:

• Terminate the SHSM program

• Move the SHSM program to a different school in our Board

• Convert the SHSM to a different but similar sector. 

To close a SHSM you need to:

• Fill out the following form

• Communicate changes to the SHSM with community and industry partners

• Have the approval from your Principal, Guidance and/or cooperative education teachers

• Have your Superintendent be aware of the changes. 

• Closing SHSM means the lead SHSM for the Board will make decision for the current equipment they have and repurposed for other current SHSMs in our Board
