Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR)
Adolescent Students
Students who are 17 years of age or younger as of August 31st of the current school year are defined as Adolescent Students. Adolescent Students may:
Earn up to four eligible Grade 10-12 high school credits through the "challenge" process.
Have their prior learning from other juridictions assessed and recognized with up to 26 equivalent high school credits through the "equivalency" process.

PLAR Challenge
Beginning in their Grade 10 year, Adolescent Students may apply to challenge and earn up to four eligible high school credits at the Grade 10-12 levels. Click the links below to learn more:

To be completed by the school, authorized by the principal, and filed in the student's OSR.
Adolescent Students

For Adolescent Students new to Ontario, or transferring to the OCDSB from non-inspected private or home schools in Ontario.
