Through the Dual Credit Program, high school students in Grades 11 and 12 have the opportunity to earn up to 4 optional high school credits credits by taking part in apprenticeship training or college courses. Students enrolled in the program can earn both high school and college credits upon successful course completion.

Dual Credit Support Teacher
The Dual Credit Support Teacher (DCT) acts as an academic advisor and coach for Dual Credit students. The DCT works closely with the students and their school to understand the students' learning needs as well as provide communication and support to facilitate student success.
Academic Accommodations
If a Dual Credit student has an IEP at high school, they should obtain an electronic copy of their IEP and psychoeducational assessment (if one is available) and register with Algonquin College's Center For Accessible Learning (CAL).
Once documentation has been submitted, someone from the Welcome Centre will call or email the student to set up an appointment.
If the student requires help with this they should contact their Dual Credit Support Teacher, Laura Pong.
Student Transportation Support through Algonquin College
Bus tickets are provided as needed by Algonquin College to students for the day/s they attend a course.
If a student is driving, parking passes are given to the student and mileage subsidies are offered if they are driving >10 km round trip.
All vouchers, mileage claims and parking passes are distributed from the Office of Academic Partnerships, Algonquin College.
Taxis are provided for unique situations and for those unable to access a regular bus route.
