REQUIREMENTS

In-Person

If a student placement has previously occurred at the co-op site:

• Placement assessment can be completed virtually through video conference provided the co-op teacher and principal are confident regarding the safety precautions in place within the worksite

• Student Monitoring assessments can be completed virtually through video conference, provided the co-op teacher and principal are confident in the safety precautions that are in place

If a student placement has not previously occurred at this co-op site:

• Placement assessment must be done in-person by the teacher

• At least one Student Monitoring assessment must be completed in-person

• Additional Student Monitoring assessments may be completed virtually through video conferencing

For In-Person site visits:

• The teacher must follow the safety guidelines provided by OPH

• The teacher must follow the safety guidelines provided by the place of employment

• Teachers must use/wear the appropriate PPE for that location (following OPH and the employer guidelines)

• PPE will be provided by schools

*Note: assessments may not be completed through the phone or any other non-video conference system

Virtual

Virtual placement assessments and monitoring visits are appropriate for meeting the requirements.
