My name is Tyra Panion, and I was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago in the Roseland area. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with a Bachelor's in Human Development and Family Studies. I earned my Master’s in Couples and Family Counseling in August 2025. I live by the inspiring words of Maya Angelou: "We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty." This quote reminds me of the transformative journey that life and healing can be.
