Hi, I’m Yahaira! I am currently a graduate student pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am excited to be completing my counseling internship and continuing to grow both personally and professionally throughout this experience.
I believe that sometimes having someone who genuinely listens and provides a safe space can make a meaningful difference. I want my clients to feel comfortable being themselves, expressing what they are going through, and knowing that they will be heard without judgment.
My counseling approach is primarily person-centered. I believe that every person has their own experiences, strengths, and ways of navigating life, and I want to meet clients where they are. I see counseling as a collaborative process where we can work together to better understand challenges, explore goals, and find ways to move forward.
As an intern, I am still learning and growing, and I value the opportunity to learn from each person I work with. My hope is to create a space where clients feel supported, respected, and comfortable being their authentic selves.
