The TIMARA Gallery, now known as the Performance Technology Lab (PTL), is a big, blank, empty space. It is available to students for recitals, to document projects, build installations, rehearse, test an idea, practice a setup, and so much more.
TIMARA majors may reserve PTL for degree recitals and installations. To make a recital reservation, reserve your desired slot on the TIMARA Performance Technology Lab calendar for the desired period with your name and the type of event .
If you are a major/minor holding a public performance outside of degree recitals or on behalf of a student org you are involved with, please fill out the following PTL Gallery Performance Request Form so faculty and staff can approve your request.
All gear MUST be torn down by the end of your event reservation. If you have asked for and received permission to leave the gear in the depot after your event, you must still have all gear torn down, put away properly into all cases, and organized neatly along the back wall of the gallery. Any furniture that was removed must be replaced. Failure to reset the gallery after your event may result in loss of gallery privileges. Thanks for your understanding and help keeping the gallery clean and organized for the next class or reservation.
If you no longer need the gallery for your event, please be sure to delete the reservation so others may make use of the space.
At the end of EVERY session, please reserve 5 to 10 minutes to pick up after yourself and ready the gallery for the next reservation:
Put all faders on mixer fully down
Stack chairs, organize music stands, etc.
Return chairs and furniture borrowed from other rooms
Erase whiteboard
Turn lights off
Return any items borrowed from the supply closet
Check space for personal items and trash and recycling and remove items from studio
