TIMARA's computer cafe is a resource for the entire Oberlin community. You won't find food down here (unless you bring your own), but you can swing by to hang out, listen to some vinyl, peruse our library, or make use of the plethora of audio- and video-editing software that we stock on our lobby machines. Or, just stop by to get away from the rain and snuggle one of our studio dogs.
Access: Cafe TIMARA is open anytime the building is open to all members of the Oberlin community -- just swipe your ID card. Please do not prop either of the main doors to the TIMARA Studio Complex at any time.
Food and Drink: Food and drink are permitted in Cafe TIMARA, however, please take care to keep food and drink away from cafe machines and please avoid spilling food or drink on the floor! Also, please help us keep our lobby clean. When you leave the lobby, please reserve 1 to 2 minutes to pick up after yourself, throw away trash (please take all perishable trash OUT of the studios) and ready the space for the next visitor!
Lost and Found: Please do not store personal items in the lobby. Lost items will be held on hand for a period of 2 weeks and will subsequently be donated to the free store. If you think you lost an item in Cafe TIMARA or anywhere in the studios, please email our studio engineer.
Reservations: Are you an Oberlin community member who is interested in reserving Cafe TIMARA for a small audio workshop or similar event? Please email the Tech Director khartzel@oberlin.edu at least 2 weeks prior to the event. The department makes decisions about these requests on a case-by-case basis.
