The event assistants are responsible for hauling gear and setting up/tearing down for TIMARA-sponsored departmental events. They ensure gear is safely transported to the venue and help setup and teardown run smoothly and quickly. They also assist with other tasks during the event as assigned by faculty including video recording, sound checking, retrieving miscellaneous items from the TIMARA studios, and etc.

General Responsibilities:
Please note that the TIMARA Department relies on event assistants as a critical community resource. Please only apply for this position if you can commit to being punctual consistently, and to attending or finding substitutes (and alerting the studio engineer or concert organizer) for any missed shifts. Please arrange for substitutes at least one week in advance of the shift you plan to miss. If you are sick, please attempt to find a substitute, even if it is less than a week before your shift. If an event assistant is consistently late or misses many shifts, their hours may be reassigned.
