The English faculty ran our first competition of the year, in collaboration with the Haywards Heath & Lindfield Rotary Club. Students were given the brief to write anything of their choice with the title 'My Happiest Day'. There was a wonderful selection of poetry, short stories and personal anecdotes. Well done to everyone who sent in an entry; we really enjoyed reading them. The winners will be announced on the website and via tutor groups in January and copies of entries will be displayed in the library. Entries have now been forwarded to the Rotary Club to be judged in their 'Young Writers' competition. At the time of printing we are awaiting the results.
