Extension tasks: Plate Tectonics

Choose one of the following Extension tasks to complete in your own time. These need to be completed before the Christmas Holidays.

1) Create a video / TV commercial to let people know what to do if a tectonic event (earthquake/volcano/tsunami) hits. This needs to relate to Gran Canaria.

2) Build an earthquake-proof building with labels to explain how it works. This can be made from any material you can find (playdoh, cardboard, lego).

3) Create your own natural hazards board game with rules. Look at other board games to get some ideas (e.g. game of life, mouse trap)

You need to include a reference list of all of the sources you used to help you research and complete your task. This means a list of any books, websites, articles or other sources you used. This should be on a separate sheet attached to your chosen task.
