“Acute Care Survival Guide: Demystifying Pocket Guide for Occupational Therapy Entry Level Practitioners”
After my experiences in the classroom, I was able to consider the gap in knowledge for entry level practitioners for this artifact. My competency project aims to develop a concise pocket guide for safe patient care. This comprehensive yet portable guideline is specifically tailored to adults and inpatient care, serving as a valuable addition to promote safe OT practice. The primary goal of this product is to bolster safety awareness in adult inpatient settings. The target audience includes OT students, recently graduated OT professionals, early-career acute care OTs, those transitioning to adult inpatient settings, as well as other stakeholders like rehabilitation managers seeking to implement a safety resource as a practice guide within their department. Due to confidentiality requirements the pocket guide and full guide were removed from this ePortfolio. However, you will find a paper supporting this competence project below.
