BS/ MA EDTA Curriculum

Notes:

Students must be on track to complete 100 hours of fieldwork observation prior to completing the BS. These fieldwork hours are tied to each of the Dramatic Activities classes - so students will complete 50 hours for each course.
In order for courses to count towards both the BS and MA programs, students must have received a grade of B or better in the course.

Students can earn up to 24 MA credits while enrolled as an undergraduate student as follows:

BS/ MA EDTA Curriculum

These credits can only be applied towards the MA if they are taken during the junior or senior years. If students complete 24 graduate credits as outlined above, students will need to complete only 15 additional credits for the MA:

9 credits for Content Core Foundation - MPAET-GE 2193 Drama in Education I and 6 credits for Art Form Specialization
0 credits for General Pedagogical Core - TCHL-GE 2999 Social Responsibilities of Teachers: Drug & Alcohol Education, Child Abuse Identification, School Violence Prevention, and DASA
6 credits for Student Teaching - MPAET- GE 2134 Student Teaching Theatre in the Elementary School and MPAET-GE 2174 Student Teaching in the Secondary Theatre Classroom
