In preparation for advisement each semester, students will schedule an advisement appointment with their academic advisor to discuss their course selections and get cleared for registration. The typical schedule for this is as follows:
preparing for the fall semester - advisement in late-March/early-April for mid-April registration
preparing for the spring semester - advisement in late-October/early-November for mid-November registration
preparing for summer - advisement in January for late-January registration
You should be prepared to discuss your schedule by looking at the roster of courses listed in Albert; this handbook will be updated with course listings each semester. Advisement meetings usually take 20 minutes. Due to the volume of advisement meetings, you should not expect to use this time to address any issue other than your coursework--schedule time for those conversations outside of the advisement periods.
