New Student Checklist

Welcome to the Department of Media, Culture, and Communication! We look forward to welcoming you in the Fall. Please review and complete the checklist items below to help you with a seamless transition to NYU and your graduate studies. 

❏ Bookmark this MCC MA Advising Handbook to your browser . When looking to answers for your questions, many of them can be found in this handbook! 

❏ Review the pages "how advising works" and "advising appointments"

❏ Follow instructions and steps on the Steinhardt Admitted Students page with special emphasis on the following: 

❏ Activate NYU Email account

❏ Submit final transcripts to admissions (failure to do so will impact registration in future terms)

 ❏ Fulfill health and immunization requirements via the Student Health Center

❏ Review the registration instruction email sent by your advisors 

❏ Complete the mandatory registration survey by the provided deadline 

❏ Once your proposed schedule has been approved by your advisor, register for your Fall classes via Albert 

❏ Complete NYU's required Sexual Misconduct Training for students 

❏ Review NYU and Steinhardt's policies on academic integrity 

❏ For questions about the student experience and moving to New York, review the MCC MA Student Association website and  contact MASA representatives! 

❏ Upon receiving Orientation and Fall Activities invitation email, submit your RSVPs!
