The Impact of Climate Change on Marine Ecosystems and In-sights of Being a Marine Ecologist in Singapore
Pavarne Shantti is a research assistant at Tropical Marine Science Singapore, National University of Singapore. Pavarne's research interest is in marine plant ecology and its role in climate change nature-based solution. Their current research is on the ecological function of seagrasses and its role in mitigating habitat loss due to ocean acidification. They also spends a lot of their time in natural spaces, both dry and wet, and their favourite questions are “what is that?" and “how are you?”. Pavarne is also an activist who campaigns for equality not just for humans but for animals too.
