Driving Tangible Change: Youths Inspiring a Zerowaste Culture
ZeroWaste Nanyang, a schoolwide environmental campaign aimed at inspiring a culture of environmental consciousness and action, was initiated by Yu Teng, driven by her vision of creating a sustainable environment right here in Singapore.
Passionate about environmental conservation, Yu Teng seeks to influence change in people’s approach to waste, starting from her local community. With a dream to connect with like-minded individuals, she hopes that together they will bring forth the change they want to see.
Yu Teng was the Vice President of the Student Council at Nanyang Girls' High School. She believes in the importance of a growth mindset and hopes to develop as a leader in inspiring others to believe the same, whilst working towards positive environmental change.
Jinbo is a Secondary 4 student at Nanyang Girls’ High School. Despite the fact that she has already spent more than three years in the school, she is still nowhere close to reaching her goal of trying every type of food which the canteen sells before graduation. She feels honoured to speak at "4 Degrees Summit" , and would be more than happy to chat with anyone who shares her passions for the climate, Hamilton, and food.
