The New York Film Academy encourages instructors to connect with each other outside the classroom in an array of ways. Consider joining Faculty Senate meetings on your campus to contribute ideas and have your voice heard. Instructors can also start their Affinity Groups to find likeminded community members. Please read more below to find out more about how you can contribute to NYFA's thriving community.
The Faculty Senate meets regularly to discuss campus updates, gather feedback, and faculty challenges. Senate Presidents work with the administration on addressing them.
To find out more about the campus-specific Senates, please contact the following:

NY: Rico Rosetti, Senate President FacultySenateNY@nyfa.edu
Affinity groups are formed on campus to spark connectedness between colleagues from the same or different departments. In addition, sharing interests has proven to not only stimulate community, but also to enhance mental wellness. Examples of groups include but are not limited to gardening, fantasy sports, identity-centered groups, etc.
