Prof. Lung-Hao Lee

Lung-Hao Lee (李龍豪) received the B.S. degree in statistics from National Taipei University, Taiwan, in 2003, the M.S. degree in information management from Yuan Ze University, Taoyuan, Taiwan, in 2005, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science and information engineering from National Taiwan University, in 2015. From 2015 to 2018, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with National Taiwan Normal University. He joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Central University, Taiwan, in 2018, as an Assistant Professor. 

He is currently an associate professor affiliated with the Institute of Artificial Intelligence Innovation, National Yang Mining Chao Tung University, Taiwan, in 2024. He is currently a Board Member of the Association for Computational Linguistics and Chinese Language Processing (ACLCLP), and serves as an Information Officer (Taiwan) of the Special Interesting Group on Chinese Language Processing (SIGHAN), Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL). 

His research interests include natural language processing, information retrieval and extraction, biomedical and health informatics, and artificial intelligence technologies. His team has developed systems that achieved promising results in several international shared task competitions, including ranked tied first in BioLaySumm 2023 Task 2: Lay Summarization of Biomedical Research Articles, EMP track winner in WASSA 2023 Empathy, Emotion, and Personality Shared Task, second in SemEval 2023 Task 8: Causal Claims Identification and PIO Frame Extraction, first in PAN 2022 Style Change Detection Task, and third in MEDIQA 2021 Task 1: Question Summarization.
