Curriculum

6th grade math is designed to support students in achieving mastery over a broad range of core skills as well as provide application of these skills/concepts to facilitate problem solving. This curriculum will challenge students to develop a strong foundation in skills and concepts and will encourage them to investigate, reason, and explain. Opportunities to use multiple problem solving strategies are provided. Students are expected to persevere, use multiple strategies, collaborate, use critical thinking skills and work towards more challenging and abstract ideas that are required for the beginning levels of pre-algebra.
