In Nevada all students in grades 3 through 8 are required to take a summative assessment. The summative assessments align to the Nevada Academic Content Standards (NVACS). The Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) provides Nevada’s criterion-referenced examinations in English Language Arts/ Literacy and Mathematics.
